Pas De La Casa Ski Holidays
Together with neighbouring Grau Roig, Pas de la Casa is Andorras highest, most convenient
and largest resort.
The ample altitude and many north facing slopes ensure a long season from December
to May.
Pas De La Casa has now been linked with Soldeu and El Tarter to create the grand
valira ski area which covers 193km of piste. The slopes around Pas De La Casa can
get busy at times as it is popular with French weekenders, however, if you ski away
from the resort you will find the runs are quieter and there are plenty of excellent
slopes to explore without the lift queues.
A number of good restaurants offer quality cuisine with a strong French influence.
There are also a few fast food places and pizzerias. There are many lively small
bars which are friendly and great fun – at closing time if you want to carry on
the party you can choose from a mix of discos.
Pas de la Casa offers the best tax free shopping outside the capital. In particular,
head to “Olympia”, a sports department store covering 5 or 6 floors which each floor
dedicated and offering ski and snowboard equipment, all the top board/surf brand
such as Quicksilver, Billabong, Oxbow and O'Neill.
Pas de la Casa in Andorra is a serious skiiers resort for all standards. Due to its
proximity to France, it is also popular with French weekenders.
