Kirchberg Ski Holidays

Kirchberg is a picturesque, compact village offering a good selection of après ski
bars and activities. Just 6km from its famous neighbour, Kitzbühel, Kirchberg
provides an excellent ski package for mixed ability groups. Two gondolas link this
beautiful village to the outstanding Kitzbühel ski area, with access also available
to Westendorf and the ‘Ski Welt’ area. There are 200 miles of ski-runs to tackle,
with enough to satisfy beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers.
A skiing holiday to Kirchberg offers beginners their own nursery area on the Gaisberg
Mountain, whilst advanced skiers can challenge themselves on the bumps of the
Steinbergkogel and the famed Hahnenkamm. Despite this, skiing in Kirchberg favours the
intermediates, with a wide range of red, blues and dramatic descents ensuring a
challenge for every grade.
Some say that Kirchberg is a smaller, quieter version of
Kitzbühel, however, Kirchberg remains a resort in its own right. It is a busy and
attractive village with lots of young people from across Europe coming to enjoy the
nightlife.

A skiing holiday to Kirchberg is an attractive alternative to Kitzbühel, granting easy
access to the ski area at a lower price. The après ski entertainment ranges from vibrant
bars to traditional Tirolean folklore evenings, plus a selection of other winter
activities such as sleigh rides, tobogganing and ice-skating. Kirchberg is famed for its
hospitality and there are some excellent mountain restaurants for daytime dining.
Overall, a skiing holiday to Kirchberg is a superb substitute for the more mainstream
Austrian resorts – offering great nightlife and accommodation and a fantastic choice
of slopes.
