Internationally famous and boasting over 100 years of skiing tradition, St Anton
is a small, mainly pedestrianised village.
A favouritie with the British, St Anton is popular with advanced skiers and boarders looking for a lively apres ski.
The St Anton ski area which itself has 189km of piste is part of the Arlberg ski
region which encompasses the areas of St Christoph, Stuben, Lech, Zurs and Sonnenkopf
providing a total of 442 km of descents. Expect superbly prepared slopes for all
ability levels, challenging steep slopes and deep-snow ski runs, snowboard fun parks,
carving areas and permanent racing circuits.
The region has something for everyone. Famous for being the birthplace of Alpine
Skiing, there is a great ski school. There’re plenty of blue and red runs
to keep intermediates happy and the region is an advanced skiers paradise with plenty
of scope for on and off-piste adventures. Known as “one of the best freeride
areas in the World”, St Anton is very popular with snowboarders.

Activities in St Anton include ice skating, curling, tobogganing, cross country skiing, floodlit
skiing at night, winter walking, snow shoe walking, swimming and paragliding. In terms of shopping,
St Anton offers many sports equipment retailers and ski hire shops plus a handful of supermarkets
and souvenir shops.
There are numerous cosy meeting places and informal lively bars and clubs in St Anton, ensuring
variety and enjoyment. St Anton also offers plenty of places to eat out with choices from traditional
Austrian food to American, Chinese and Mexican restaurants.
