Banff Ski Holidays

Banff is the largest of Albertas mountain towns with a reputation as a genuine all-round
resort. Banff is frequented by locals and Americans although it is becoming increasingly popular with Europeans.
There is no skiing in Banff town itself. Beginners and intermediates can commute
to Mt Norquay which is 5 miles away. The more advanced skiers can commute to the
more extensive regions of Lake Louise and Sunshine Village with 42% black runs.
A ski pass is available covering all three regions.
By night Banff is fairly lively. Downtown offers a choice of bars and cosmopolitan
restaurants plus a cinema and a nightclub.
In terms of shopping, banff offers plenty of ski/hiking shops plus a good range of other stores such as designer boutiques
and jewellers. Further pastimes include regional history museums, hiking, ice skating and a hot springs pool.
