Jasper is located in the heart of Jasper National Park, offering a spectacular landscape.
Jasper has a quiet charm and community feel as it is populated by working locals
as well as tourists.
Skiing is situated at Marmot Basin (12 miles south of Jasper) and is reached by a
ski-shuttle service. Low temperatures and tons of snow ensure a long May-Dec season.
Expect un-crowded, well-groomed slopes and lots of powder. Temperatures can plummet
to –40C so make sure you have artic-style clothing!!
The resort of Jasper offers terrain for all abilities of skiers and boarders and there’s
120km of cross country skiing trails.
Shopping in Jasper is limited to ski/hiking equipment shops plus local handicraft stores.
Alternative activities to include ice skating, showshoeing, indorr pool, museums and a cinema.
Jasper’s nightlife is low-key and is limited to downtown restaurants and a couple
of live music bars.
