La Plagne Ski Holidays

La Plagne is a collection of 10 small resorts, comprising 6 high-altitude, purpose-built
ski-stations linked by roads, lifts and pistes. La Plagne centre remains the hub and
is the liveliest base, with a large selection of hotels, shops, restaurants and
amenities. This gives you the opportunity to ski a number of quaint French villages
in a huge ski area.
A ski holiday to La Plagne is ideal, with reliable snow and more than 200km of piste
ensuring there is always a slope to suit you. Skiing in La Plagne is made easier by
he introduction of the Vanoise Express cable car linking the areas of Les Arcs and
La Plagne. La Plagne alone boasts the biggest single resort lift system in the world
and has extensive runs to satisfy all levels of skier and boarder. A considerable
snowpark caters for free-stylers whilst the extensive off piste makes a ski holiday
to La Plagne attractive to extreme skiers and boarders.

Skiing in La Plagne is perfect for intermediate skiiers – with over 70% blue and red
runs. In turn, Advanced skiiers on ski holidays to La Plagne will find two
nerve-jangling black runs coming down from Bellecote glacier and Emille Allais to be
particularly challenging. However, the facilities for beginnners are also good with
nursery slopes adjacent to each village and easy runs to be found at each centre.
Children are also well catered for, with nurseries found in most of the villages,
providing convenience for skiing in La Plagne.
There is plenty to do after you have finished skiing on the slopes. The nightlife is
predominantly located in Plagne Centre and Plagne Bellecote but there are several good bars
and restaurants to be found in the other resorts.
