Cortina Ski Holidays

A ski holiday to Cortina offers you an extensive and varied resort in the heart of Italy’s
Ampezzo valley. Cortina is one of the top Italian ski resorts and is similar in exclusivity
to Courchevel and St Moritz. It boasts magnificent peaks and spectacular slopes, all of which
are guaranteed to be perfectly maintained thanks to the superb and widely available snow making
facilities. Also known as the Pearl of the Dolomites, a ski holiday to Cortina is a great choice
for skiers and non skiers alike.
Part of the Dolomiti Superski area offering 1,220km of snow trails, skiing in Cortina has plenty of
appeal for all grades of skier. With wonderfully uncrowded slopes, except for on holidays, beginners
can learn to ski on the Socrepes area’s nursery slopes – where a fantastic ski school is based. In
fact, more than 50% of the runs are categorized as ‘easy’, making Cortina the perfect place to
improve your skiing.
A ski holiday to Cortina is also an excellent choice for intermediate level
skiers. A large choice of blue and red runs are available, most notably at Faloria where you can
work your way along the stunning mountainside and down to the road at Rio Gere. Experts can be
stretched by the challenging slopes on the Tofana mountain range – which at 3243m is the highest
point in the ski area and provides spectacular views. Snowboarding in Cortina is equally rewarding
- with the natural terrain features combined with a dedicated fun park and half-pipe being enough
to satisfy most tastes.

Cortina is a world-famous, international standard ski resort and was home to the very first Winter
Olympics in Italy. Partly thanks to this, a ski holiday to Cortina is typified by a chic yet relaxed
ambience. There are plenty of non-ski activities, with bobsleighs available for the daredevils and
tobogganing, dog sledging and ice-skating on offer for the less extreme members of the party. In the
day, Cortina boasts an array of elegant boutiques and quaint mountain restaurants, whilst at night
there are an abundance of trendy, intimate bars, restaurants and wine bars.
