Snowmass Ski Holidays

The purpose-built American ski resort of Snowmass is the largest ski area of Aspen's four mountains and
offers skiers good value-for-money in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Enjoying spectacular panoramic
views across the surrounding desert, Snowmass is the third largest ski area in Colorado and offers
direct access to 83 individual pistes. Skiers in Snowmass can also gain a ski pass to allow them to ski
or snowboard in the other Aspen resorts of Buttermilk, Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands.
Boasting more than 3000 acres of skiable terrain, a ski holiday to Snowmass is a favourite amongst
skiers of all levels. However, skiing in Snowmass is most popular amongst intermediates, partly due to
world-renowned Big Burn run which offers the best vertical descent in the US. Experts can challenge
themselves on the tricky steep chutes, as well as enjoying the vast amount of great tree skiing and
off-piste terrain. Beginners are also well catered for, with some forgiving wide and open slopes.
Much of the accommodation is ski-in ski-out, and the ski school offers an excellent standard of
tuition – making a skiing holiday to Snowmass the perfect family destination.

You are assured snow cover throughout the season when skiing in Snowmass, with pistes of 2500m and an
average of 300 inches of snow every year. Snowboarding in Snowmass is also of a high standard, with
some good boarding slopes and a total of three Snow and Terrain Parks.
Après ski is both lively and glamorous, with excellent restaurants in plentiful supply. Friendlier
than most European resorts, there is always something to do on a ski holiday to Snowmass - with live music
often performed in several of the nearby bars. If you are a family looking for an excellent standard
of skiing at a more low-key resort than then a skiing holiday to Snowmass is highly recommended.
