Bad Hofgastein Holidays

Here in Bad hofgastein you won't be stuck for choice of where to ski! There is over 215km of slopes – including the 10.5km Hohe Scharte – the longest run in the Central Eastern Alps.

As with its neighbouring village- Bad Gastein, there are some gentle nursery slopes on the Angertal to begin with, from there you can test out your newly found skills and head up to the find the blue runs on Schlossalm or the Stubnerkogel.

Bad Hofgastein offers a wide variety of red and blue runs, which are also linked together with the nearby village Bad Gastein, this makes it a large area to ski. The Gastein valley has a further three ski areas, offering total of 250 km of well groomed, often quiet, pistes.

There are a few challenging runs on the Stubnerkogel and some black pistes on the Graukogel. You can hire a guide who can take you on to some fabulous off-piste routes from Kreuzkogel to Heilstollen.

The resort itself is quieter than the other surrounding resorts in terms of nightlife, you will still find a few bars here and the pedestrian centre has dozens of restaurants, and a good range of cuisines. Traditional Austrian favourites and healthy mountain dishes can be found in most places.
